Legendary Fashion Designer Christian Dior-Revolutionized world of fashion.

Christian Dior was a French fashion designer. He was born on January 21, 1905 in Granville a town of Normandy in France. He was from a business family. At the age of Ten he was shifted to Paris where was fond of art and architecture though he was apolitical Science student. He would like to be a diplomat. But his family business was bankrupted so his father cut off his financial expenditure. Then Dior turned his passion into profession. He made several sketches and sold those to different magazine. Gradually he became a favourite designer for the garment industries. Thus Dior's contribution to fashion industries was immense mainly he introduce  Renessa in women dressed and expressed themselves. He influenced several designer, such as Balmain, Marc Bohan and Saint Laurent. After working with famous designer Robert Piguet, Lucien Lelong he founded his own couture house in 1946.. He revolutionized the fashion industry with his ingenious collection in 1947. his innovation, "New look" silhouette, an expression of luxury, femininity and elegance. 

          Dior's contribution to fashion was not only aesthetic but also an economic and cultural. He reaffirm Paris as capital of world fashion. He commanded over the textile industry and opened branches in other cities like New York, London Tokyo etc. Dior's vision of fashion was inline with his love of art and architecture. He diversified his products and perfumes, cosmetics and ready to wear lines. 

        Within a very short span his endeavour expanded globally but he could not attached to his glory for a long time. At the age of 52 years in 1957 he died of sudden heart attack. After his demise his couture house was run by his successor and the first lady to lead the brand, Maria Grazia. He is no more in physical stature but his commandment in the fashion industries still prevailing.
