Google celebrated Sridevi's birthday on August 13, 2023 with a special doodle on its homepage. Sridevi, who was born in 1963, was one of the most iconic and influential actors in Indian cinema. She starred in over 300 films in various languages, such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. She was known for her versatility, charisma, and expressive eyes. She won several awards and accolades for her performances, including the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honor, in 2013. 

             Google's doodle, which was created by artist Shreya Gupta, depicts Sridevi in some of her memorable roles, such as Sadma, Chandni, Mr. India, Lamhe and English Vinglish. The doodle also shows her wearing a traditional sari and a bindi, which were part of her signature style. Google said that the doodle was a tribute to Sridevi's "incredible talent and career" and that it hoped to "capture some of her magic on screen". The doodle was visible to users in India and several other countries.

                    Sridevi was a trailblazing actress who conquered both South cinema and Bollywood. She was born on August 13, 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, to a Telugu mother and a Tamilian father. She started her acting career as a child artist in the Tamil film Thunaivan in 1969 . She went on to star in several successful films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages, becoming one of the first actresses to achieve superstardom in both the South and the North.

   She was also a dedicated student who tried to balance her education with her busy film schedule. She often studied on the sets with a teacher, but admitted that she was more interested in acting than academics. She later regretted missing out on school and college life, but was grateful for her film career.

         Sridevi was one of the most celebrated and versatile actresses of Indian cinema, who worked in multiple languages and genres. She was born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan on 13 August 1963 in Meenampatti, Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India. She started her acting career as a child artist at the age of four in the Tamil film Kandhan Karunai (1967) and went on to act in films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. She made her debut as a lead actress in Hindi cinema with Solva Sawan (1978) and rose to fame with Himmatwala (1983). She was known for her expressive eyes, comic timing, dancing skills and screen presence. She received numerous awards and accolades for her performances, including a National Film Award, six Filmfare Awards, five Filmfare Awards South, a Padma Shri and a Kerala State Film Award. She was also voted as India's Greatest Actress in 100 Years in a CNN-IBN poll in 2013. Some of her most memorable films include Sadma (1983), Nagina (1986), Mr. India (1987), Chandni (1989), Lamhe (1991), Khuda Gawah (1992), Judaai (1997) and English Vinglish (2012). She made her comeback to Tamil cinema after 29 years with Puli (2015) and her last film was Mom (2017), for which she posthumously won the National Film Award for Best Actress.

            Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai due to accidental drowning. She was 54 years old. She left behind a legacy of excellence and inspiration for generations of Indian actors and actresses. She was a beloved actress and a national icon.
