Manmohan Singh is a renowned economist and Indian politician who served as the 13th Prime minister of India from 2004 to 2014. He is widely regarded as the architect of India's economic liberalization and reforms that ushered in a period of high growth and development.

His born , Education Personality and Lifestyle: Manmohan Singh was born on 26th September in 1932 in Gah in the states of Punjab. Singh had a humble upbringing in the Sikh family. He  lost his mother in the young age and raised by his grandmother. He was a brilliant student and got scholarship to study in the prestigious institute. He completed his bachelor and master degree in economics from university of Punjab. Then he pursued his doctoral degree from oxford university. He also taught i different university in India and abroad as the Delhi school of Economics, the University of Cambridge and the united Nation. Mr. Singh is widely respected for his integrity, honesty, humanity and intellect. He is also known for his soft-spoken and consensus building approach to to governance. He has received numerous awards and honors, both nationally and internationally. for his contribution to economic sand public service. He married to Gursharan Kaur and has three daughters.

Manmohan Singh-His Political Career as Indian Finance Minister & Indian Prime Minister: 

           Manmohan Singh entered in Indian Politics in the year 1991 appointed as finance minister by then Indian Prime minister, P V Narasimha Rao. As the finance minister Singh had faced a severe financial crisis in 1991. At that time India was on the verge of defaulting on it's foreign debt. He then played a crucial role in sweeping economic reforms that opened up the Indian economy to foreign investment trade and competition. He took bold and decisive steps to rescue the economy from the brink of  collapse. He devalued the rupee, liberalized trade and investment policies, reduced fiscal deficit, deregulated industries and privatized public sector enterprises and opened up the financial sector. By these reforms Indian GDP growth rate increased from 5.6% to 7.7% in the 2000. 

As the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014, he continued to pursue the agenda of economic development and social inclusion. He launched several flagship program to improve the living standards of the poor such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment guarantee Act, the Right o Information Act, The National health mission and Right to Education act. he also strengthened the India's relation with major global powers such as the United States, China Russia and Japan. He signed a landmark civil nuclear deal with the US in 2008, which ended nuclear isolation and opened up the new avenues for co-operation in energy and securities. He also played a key role in shaping India's stance on global issues such as climate change, terrorism and multilateralism.

Manmohan Singh is widely regarded as a visionary leader who transformed India's economy and society. for his contribution he received many national and international award like, Bharat Ratna and the World's Statesman Award by the appeal of conscience foundation.
