Today is 23rd of January, the birth day of a desperate and non-wining child of mother India. He is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He is always remarkable for his presence as a most prominent leaders of the Indian Independence movement. he was born on 23 January, 1897 in Cuttack in the state of Odisha. He was from a wealthy and influential family He received his earlier education in India and later he went to England to study at the university of Cambridge. He passed the Indian Civil Service examination in 1920. But he resigned from his post in 1921 to join the freedom struggle.
Bose was a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and joined the Indian National Congress. He became the president of the party twice in 1938 and 1939 but resigned due to ideological differences with Gandhi and other leaders. He advocated for a more radical and militant approach to achieve independents from the British rule. He formed the forward bloc, a faction within the congress. He sought the support of Germany, Japan and other Axis power during world war-II.
Bose escaped from India in 1941 and reached Germany. He met Adolf Hitler and established the Indian legion, a force of Indian prisoners of war who fought the Nazi Germany. He also broadcasted his speeches and message to India through the Azad hind Radio. While staying in Germany, he married an Australian lady named Emilie Schinkl. They had one daughter called Anita Bose Pfaff. In 1943 he left Germany and travelled to Japan where he assumed the leadership of Indian National Army (INA), a rebel force composed of Indian Soldier who defected from British Indian Army. He also formed the provisional Government of Free India in Singapore and declared war against Britain and his allies.
Mr. Bose led the INA in several battles against British forces in Southeast Asia, such as Imphal Campaign and Burma Campaign. He also inspired many soldier with his remarkable slogan," Give me blood and I will give you freedom." However his military efforts were unsuccessful due to lack of resources, coordination and support from Japan. He was reported to have died of a plan crash in Taiwan on August, 1945. But it is still a controversial issue.
Bose is widely regarded as a national hero and a patriot. He is also admired for his courage, charisma and vision. He is remembered for his contribution to the Indian independence movement. He is respected to all for his sacrifice for the cause of freedom of his mother land.
