Sunita Williams-An India origin American astronaut is working in International Space Station(ISS).
From August, 2024 Sunita Williams & Butch Wilmore have been living in International Space Station. Their initial eight days trip was extended due to some technical complication. The spacecraft returned to earth without taking them. Their stay is extended up to February, 2025 after spending 240 days to 270days in space station.

A Brief on Sunita Williams.
Sunita Williams was born on 19th September, 1965 in Euclid, Ohio, USA. Her father, Deepak Pandya & Mother, Bonnie Pandya both were Indian descent. They were migrated & settled before Williams birth. Hence she was by born an American Residents. She grew up in Falmouth, Massachusetts. She got her graduate degree from Falmouth High School in 1983. Further she got her Bachelor degree in physical science from the United States Naval Academy in the year 1987. She got her Master's degree in Engineering Management from the Florida institute of Technology in the year 1992. She got married with Michael Williams who is a Federal Aviation Administration officer (FAA officer).
Sunita Williams was appointed as an officers in the United States Navy in the year 1987. After three years of service she became the naval aviator. She then flew helicopters and aircraft. Then she got competency in space travelling for five years. Consequently she was selected as a NASA astronaut candidate in the year 1998. She gradually became the most spacewalker as a female candidate. NASA conducted two major & long term space travelling with Sunita Williams. She flew on two space shuttle missions, STS-116 (2006) & STS-117(2007) with a total 322 days of space travelling. She also stayed 195 days on on International Space Station.

She worked hard as a dedicated space explorer. She got several medals and recognitions. In the year 1993 she was awarded with Navy Commendation Medal. Later she got Defense Superior Service Medal, NASA Space Flight Medal & NASA Distinguished Service Medal in 2007. She was inscribed in the book of Guinness world record for the most spacewalks by a female astronaut. Sunita Williams was retired from NAA in 2012. Presently she is working in NASA as consult. She advocates for STEM education and empowerment. She is now a member of NASA. advisory council.
Updates on recent Space Mission at International Space Station.
On 5th of June, 2024 NASA conducted the flight test mission, Boeing Crew Flight Test. Sunita Williams became the first women to fly as the starliner launched in the orbit. She is accompanied with another space rider, Butch Wilmore. They are now residing at ISS until February 2025. While on board both of them are busy in various scientific experiments and maintenance. They are experiencing affects of long terms staying in micro gravity space.
