His Born, Childhood, Education & Career:
Magnus Carlsen was born on 30 th November in the year 1990 in a small town, Tunsberg in Norway. His mother is Sigrun Oen who was professionally a chemical engineer. His father, Henry Albert Carlsen who worked as an IT Consultant. Magnus has three sisters. For their parent's service they moved several states and provinces. Hence this family stayed one year in Espoo, Finland. After one year they stayed at Brussels, Belgium. In the year 1998 they again returned to Norway. His father was an amateur chess player. As usual he wished to make his son a chess maniac. So he taught Magnus the ABC of Classical Chess at the age of five though he could not get involved seriously. But he became enthusiastic to beat his elder sisters. When he succeeded to win the first game, he grimed. Gradually he was passionate to chess. Even his keen interest to chess made him drop out from conventional education. At the age of 16 he dropped out from higher secondary school for extensive focus on Chess. He first joined in Oslo Waldorf primary School. Later he joined Norwegian Sports High School. So his identification is a Chess Grand Master in lieu of being an academics.
