Magic Touch of Beauty in Goa? The amazing Time & Places of Goa-Full of Nature's Companion.
After completing my Bachelor in Engineering degree, I had a golden opportunity to roam around India and got the havoc chances to see it's incredibility. I moved to different parts of India and through it's provinces while I was attaining professional interview in different corporate offices and factories.
Most memorable and long lasting memory were while staying in Goa. I left Goa for sixteen years back but still it reminds a nostalgic experience. In this context I shall discuss the whole of my understanding of Goan's & it's picturesque nature. It will also help to guide the travelers to go here and there under the scenic beauty not only in the lap of Goa but also with peripheral connectivity to Mumbai and Karnataka.
I was working as production superintendent in Crystal Cable Industry at Alampur near Andul of Howrah district. One day in October of 2007, I heard the buzz of staff and engineer recruitment in a newly set up optical and power cable industry in Goa. I decided to take part in the interview held at Kolkata formerly Calcutta. We heard the attraction of Goa seeing the Scenic spots shown in the Bollywood film, Dhaamal. Forgetting all about the jobs and parks, I seeked only the natures call in Goa. Thus I enthusiastically accepted the offer of the job as production engineer. My colleague in Crystal Cable, Mr. Soumen Chakraborty also accepted the job offer in the same factory at Goa.
It was a call for interview from M/S Uniflex Cables Industries in Umbergaon in Gujrat. I decided to take part in the interview and after that planned to join in Teracom Ltd. in Kundaim Industrial Estate in Goa. On 11th of November, 2007 I board in Ahmedabad Express to reach to Surat. I reached at Uniflex Cables Factory on 12th of November. I was interviewed on 13.11.2007. Then I reached Mumbai West Railway Station just at time of sunset in the Mumbai West Bank.
How to Reach Goa from Mumbai Metro City?
I never came Mumbai earlier, it was first time experience in second largest metro city of India. I trespassed various places towards the marine drive of the city and saw the evening beauty of Mumbai. As time passes I felt the loneliness in the metro city. I searched for a shelter in a budget hotel. But it was not finding nearby. After several trying I managed berth in the dormitory of Samrat hotel near Chhatrapati Sivaji Terminus CSTM Railway Station. I stayed the night suspiciously. Every moment I thought I would be looted. I woke up from my tired nap and found everything alright. Nothing was misplaced. I was freshed and checked out from the hotel. Outside of station premises I took tea and breakfast of bread toast and omelet. Just 200 MTR away the the buses standing for booking of passengers plying to Goa. I smartly approached to the red bus conductor to have a slipper berth. The bus was scheduled to start at 15.00 hrs. It was full of pleasure to have the magic touch of Goa. I was enough tired to sleep on the seat, when I woke up, it was 20.45 hrs. Bus already stopped it's wheel at Ratna Giri. It was the halt for dinner and refreshment. I took dal and chapatti & an egg omelet. I had my lavatory work and got in to the bus. It was tremendously beautiful when the bus passes through the mountain peak, far away the lamps were glowing as twinkle stars in the lap of hills & rocks. It was nearly 600 KM journey in bus. Though there were Rail route from Mumbai Central to Madgaon. But it needs a early booking. There is also travel facility by air from Mumbai airport to Vasco Da Gama airport. It takes 45 minutes to reach by any domestic airways. However I reached at Panaji at 6.00 hrs. on 15th of November. I took the bus for Mardol, a small locality just 25 KM away from the capital city of Goa, Panaji. Our room was ready there. I got in to the two stories building. The east side room of second floor was allotted for my staying. Already it was discussed that every inch of the Goa is full of eye catching greenery and loftiness of religious temple of Mahalasa Narayani Temple so called Laxmi Temple. for the worship of the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity as per Hindu Scripture.
Visit to The Mahalasa Temple at Mardol & Mangeshi or Manguishim.
Getting entry to my room at Mardol, I washed my hands and faces, I sat on the bed. At around 6.00 Hrs. I heard the ringing bell of the Temple coming from nearby. I asked my house lord about the sound and I was informed that the great Mahalaxmi Temple was just 500 Mtr. away from my resident. As I loved Indian religious harmony, I went out for the visit of the temple. It was an amazing experience. There was grand prayer session. After prayer every devotees are served meals at non and night by providing a nominal token charge. First time I found such a delicious food items served at a public temple. Moreover it is open for all communities. No asking of Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Parsis and so on. I returned my resident without discomfort only a constable of police asked where I would go. I told of my destination. I realized then that was a place of liberal and fearless destination. Next day I joined to my office at Teracom Ltd.
Perhaps all the music lovers in the universe hear the melodious tune of late Miss. Lata Mangeskar, the legendary Indian female singer. She was reared up in the small taluk near to Mardol. This place was later developed by her father Deenanath Mangeshkar. There is a higher secondary school, a hospital by the name of Deenanath Mangeshkar. Hence the place was renamed as Mangeshi or Manguishim. Just 800 mtr away from Panaji Ponda Highway, at the south end there was a temple of the great Lord Vishnu. It is a popular tourist destination. Daily approx. two thousands travelers gather to visit this temple. At the week end some of my colleagues attend the Temple.
